I guess we need to wait and see what the exact issues with Mase and Zepp are. If both are to miss significant time I dont know how Hexy doesn't pick somebody up.

Whatever the outcome I severely doubt Stolarz sits on the bench for more than two games. Either Mase or Zepp comes back or they make a trade.

With 1:13 left, Wilson took a stupid boarding minor penalty on Read on the right corner to put the Flyers on the power play the rest of the game.

I like to think Barry Trotz is smarter than this.

Why is that big dope on the ice with a minute to go in the game?

Yeah that was a pretty dumb penalty to take given the circumstances. My hatred for him grows every time the flyers play the caps. Still can't believe he was a first rounder. I know he has some talent and he hasn't been given a bigger role in the nhl but man, there were some talented kids left on the board.

I also find it ridiculous that the first powerplay the flyers got was with basically no time left in the third. Thankfully it secured the win.

Not buying the "unrelated to previous injury" angle Hexy is selling. They need to be prudent with Mason.

I ultimately think they'll shut em down.

If they still think this is a playoff team then pick up Josh Harding. Guy was putting up Vezina quality numbers before he went on the IR due to his MS issues last year. He got himself buried in Minne over something stupid. Cant imagine the cost would be all that high.

Yeah that is bullpoop. Even if it is a new injury, you can bet it stemmed from him over compensating and stressing another part of his body to deal with his current injuries.

I'd rather they talk Brodeur out of retirement than trade anything positive for a scrub goalie.

Advanced stats make a pretty good case for Coburn.

Who startwould have thought the story would be the Flyers' PK doing their job today? Despite 6 chances Caps only manage 14 shots on the whole afternoon.

Not sure I make a trade for a goalie. Flyers should try to GAIN picks to trade them. Especially for a player who may only give you 7 or 8 starts. Not that I encourage it, but whatever did happen to Cal Heeter?

My heart wants to believe that Coburn makes them better and he should be retained, but my eyes tell me 5-0-1 during the latest run with him out and I don't know that he wouldn't be a great fit for a contender at a good return

I think he is a really good player when he is on, but something just hasn't clicked for him with any other defenseman they have besides Timonen

It would be amazing if he and MDZ could be a thing -- it really would. That is the kind of skating, size and skill you need in today's NHL.

(frank) it. Maybe they just need to run that out there for the last part of the season and make it work and not do anything with Coburn until the draft, if at all

Oh, my gosh -- wow, did Kari Lehtonen ever just (frank) up for the Stars just now against the Rags

Up 2-1 with a minute left, he comes out to play the puck, sweeps it back up ice wildly, but it goes right to a Rags player. One second later, it's in the net
